Sandia Creek Ranch has been selected & approved to be one of 20 United States Pony Club Riding Centers across the USA. Sandia Creek Ranch Pony Club Riding Center is part of the Southern California Region of Pony Clubs, and part of the United States Pony Club. Pony Club is one of the leading junior equestrian organizations in the world, represented throughout 30 countries! The United States has over 600 individual Clubs spread throughout 48 states and the Virgin Islands, with more than 12,000 members. SCRPCRC provides a comprehensive program that includes English riding instruction and horse management with an emphasis on team work, sportsmanship, and safety. It is not necessary for a child to own a horse or pony, they can become a member of SCR and/or ride a SCR school horse. Programs are offered in dressage, eventing, show jumping, mounted games, tetrathalon, quiz, vaulting, foxhunting, and polocrosse. Parental involvement is necessary, as this is the kid’s club & very much a volunteer-run organization. A child may join at any age but is considered a graduate at the age of 25.
